Collection: TUOCHA CAKE Pressed Leaf Tea

Pressed Tea, also called Tea cake or Tea brick (Tea cakes or Tea tiles), are tea leaves that are subjected to a jet of steam and then pressed into various shapes. This method was developed in ancient China to reduce the volume of leaves and avoid possible physical damage during transport along the ancient tea route. This method is also very favorable for the aging of some teas, usually the pressed teas are the Puerh.

For the infusion, all you have to do is take small quantities of pressed leaves with the help of a small knife or an awl (usually 2gr) directly from the cake and then infuse them in the usual way.
